If not Lake Chivero, another major Zimbabwean park is a strong possibility. Matobo National Park, near Bulawayo, features a similar granite-based landscape and savanna vegetation. It has numerous recreational and picnic areas, which could plausibly feature similar, locally-made stone furniture. While the visual match for the tables is stronger with Lake Chivero, Matobo remains a solid alternative within the same country and general environment.

The general landscape is very similar to that found in large game reserves in neighboring South Africa, such as Kruger National Park. These parks have extensive road networks and numerous picnic sites with permanent facilities. While the specific design of the stone tables is less common in South African parks compared to Zimbabwean ones, the overall environment of a dry savanna with this type of vegetation is a very close match, making it a plausible alternative.
