Similar to South Africa, Zimbabwe shares many architectural styles, including the use of security bars and the black plinth at the base of residential walls. Itel phones are also widely used in Zimbabwe. The general appearance of the house and environment is consistent with residential areas in Harare. While very similar to South Africa, the prevalence of the specific black plinth style is slightly more pronounced in South Africa.

Zambia, another Southern African country, also sees widespread use of Itel phones and features similar residential architecture, including security bars and painted concrete/stucco homes. The black plinth is less universally common than in South Africa or Zimbabwe but still present. The overall environment and climate are consistent with Lusaka. The lack of more unique identifiers makes it harder to distinguish from other Southern African nations, but it remains a strong candidate.
