Given that 'Panashe' is a Zimbabwean name, a plausible alternative location is a city with a large Zimbabwean expatriate community. Johannesburg, South Africa, is a primary destination for Zimbabweans living abroad. The visual environment, including the vegetation and sunny weather, is virtually indistinguishable from that found in many suburban areas of Johannesburg. This represents a strong secondary possibility.

Zambia is another neighboring country to Zimbabwe with some cultural and linguistic overlap. The climate and vegetation seen in the image are also very similar to what can be found in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
