These areas feature similar rolling, rocky hills and experience vibrant spring blooms of yellow flowers. The climate, geology, and flora are nearly identical to the neighboring Israeli/Palestinian territories, making this a highly plausible alternative. Without any cultural or linguistic markers, it is difficult to differentiate between these two locations.

The foothills of the Zagros Mountains in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (or neighboring Iran) present a similar landscape, especially during the spring around Nowruz. The terrain consists of rolling hills that become lush and green with widespread wildflowers after the winter rains. This environment is a strong contender, representing a plausible match further east within the broader Middle East region.
