Nigeen Lake is another major lake in Srinagar, adjacent to Dal Lake, which also features the same iconic Shikara boats. All the visual evidence (the boat's interior, the man's appearance, the climate-appropriate clothing, and the water environment) is equally applicable to Nigeen Lake. It is a highly plausible alternative location within the same city, though Dal Lake is more famous and a more common tourist destination.

The highly decorated interior could potentially be from a custom auto-rickshaw or CNG, which are famously and colorfully decorated in cities like Dhaka, Bangladesh. The man's ethnicity would also fit this region. However, this is a much weaker candidate because the specific floral pattern is more typical of Kashmir. Furthermore, the cool-weather sweater is inconsistent with the hot and humid climate of Dhaka in March, and this theory does not account for the clear reflection of a large body of water in the man's sunglasses.
