The landscape shares many similarities with the Alentejo region of Portugal, which also features vast dry plains, extensive cereal farming, olive groves, and a similar Mediterranean climate. The dry vegetation, harvested fields, and presence of a stone wall are all consistent with rural Alentejo. The power lines are also typical of the region. While very similar to Spain, the specific combination of features slightly favors the Spanish interior, but Portugal remains a very strong candidate.

Parts of Sicily, particularly the interior, exhibit similar dry, agricultural landscapes with extensive cereal fields, olive trees, and scrubland under a Mediterranean climate. The stone wall could also be found in such rural settings. However, the overall feel of the vegetation and terrain, while plausible, is slightly less characteristic than the Iberian Peninsula for this specific combination of elements.
