Amman's architecture frequently utilizes local limestone that can appear very similar to the stone seen in the image. The city has many hilly residential areas where such walls and security fences are common. While the "Jerusalem stone" look is more iconic to its namesake, Amman presents a very strong alternative candidate within the same geographic and cultural region.

Coastal cities in the Levant, such as Latakia in Syria or cities in Lebanon, also feature stone construction in their architecture. While the specific style is most reminiscent of Jerusalem, similar materials and construction methods can be found throughout the region. This makes it a plausible, though less likely, alternative.
